WAFL Selection News - Four big inclusions for Perth

Perth will field their strongest team on paper for many years after Fremantle and West Coast released four players to the Demons for their clash with Claremont on Saturday.
Dockers, Mark Johnson and Chris Mayne return to the Demons line-up, while Steven Armstrong, from the Eagles, has been named in a forward pocket and Sam Butler continues his recovery from hamstring problems with a game in the League side following strong performances in the Reserves over the past few weeks.
Claremont also welcomes back a big name with key forward, Chad Jones, being released by the Eagles to strengthen the Tigers’ forward line. Andrew Browne’s injury curse has struck again and he will miss, as will WA Under 18’s squad member, Matt DeBoer.
With the WA Under 18’s now unavailable for their WAFL clubs, Swan Districts will be without Nicholas Naitanui and Chris Yarran when they host East Fremantle on Saturday. Tony Notte will also be missing for the Black and Whites.
East Fremantle have named Andrew Foster, after he played for Fremantle last Sunday, and Andrew MacPherson, who has returned to the club after a year off in 2007. The Sharks will be without the Dockers’, Matthew Carr and ruckman, Michael Griffiths.
Mark Seaby’s stay at West Perth may have come to an end after the ruckman was not named in the Falcons team to take on Peel on Saturday. As expected, Chris Keunan is one of six inclusions for the Falcons.
Peel has lost Daniel Haines and Zac Beeck to suspension, but regain Brock O’Brien and will give veteran, Brandon Hill another opportunity.
Suspension has also hit Subiaco, with both Daniel Chick and Phil Read unavailable for selection. Daniel Rich will also miss the game against East Perth due to WA Under 18’s commitments. The Lions welcome back premiership player Caine Hayes after he took a season off last year.
