Perth has won a tough slog against Peel Thunder by 43 points in wet and muddy conditions at Rushton Park.
The Demons led from start to finish and had their forward line functioning despite the torrential rain, winning, 17.12 (114) to 9.17 (71).
The Young brothers were outstanding for the visitors with Ross Young collecting almost 40 possessions and Seamus Young kicking four valuable goals.
Brendan Jones gave Perth great drive from the midfield and Scott Siekierka continued his great form in defence.
Daniel Haines was the best for the Thunder while Zac Beeck was the dominant ruckman on the ground.
Hayden Ballantyne had a rare quiet game, held goalless for the first time this season.
Perth’s victory takes them past Swan Districts, who has the bye this round, into second place on the ladder at the half way mark of the season.
