PEEL THUNDER v SOUTH FREMANTLE @ RUSHTON PARK
After a promising start to the season Peel is in real danger of dropping off the pace set by the top teams if they can’t defeat South Fremantle on Saturday.

The Thunder’s State ruckman, Zac Beeck looms as a danger man given his excellent form and South’s lack of strength in the ruck department.

The Bulldogs have won their last ten matches against Peel, however with key forward Ryan Murphy unavailable there are question marks over their goal kicking ability which just may swing the game the way of the home team.

Prediction: Thunder by 3 points.

PERTH v EAST PERTH @ EFTEL OVAL
These two teams could hardly be in more contrasting form with Perth one of the stand-out teams this season and East Perth struggling at the foot of the table.

The Demons had three state representatives last weekend but it may well be Troy Cook, overlooked by the state selectors, who causes the most headaches for the Royals.

East Perth has lost its last four matches and has been very disappointing this season with the loss of dashing defender Frank Agostino and ruckmen Zac Beeck and Llane Spaanderman weakening the side considerably.

Provided the Demons click back into gear quickly after the break they should be too strong for their rivals.

Prediction: Demons by 38 points.

SUBIACO v EAST FREMANTLE @ MEDIBANK STADIUM
It has been six seasons (15 matches) since East Fremantle tasted victory against Subiaco and it is difficult to see that streak being broken this Saturday.

The danger for the ladder-leading Lions is a hangover from the state match, with ten of their side having being involved in last week’s win.

The Sharks were competitive against South Fremantle in the Foundation Day Derby and remarkably are the team that has the lowest losing margin against Subiaco this season.

Prediction: Lions by 46 points.

CLAREMONT v SWAN DISTRICTS @ CLAREMONT OVAL
It really is now or never for Claremont when they host Swan Districts this Sunday.

The Tigers have lost their last six and another defeat will ensure that last year’s Minor Premiers will miss this season’s finals.

They can expect to meet a fresh Swan Districts line-up as the Black and Whites haven’t taken the field for three weeks.

Swans can ill-afford to let this match slip with fifth-placed West Perth ready to swoop on their place in the top four and with Ash Hansen lining up at Centre Half-Forward again they should be far too strong.

Prediction: Swans by 31 points.
