Former Peel Thunder player Farren Ray has been named to make his AFL debut for the Western Bulldogs against Essendon at Telstra Dome tomorrow night.
Ray was taken with the fourth overall pick in the 2003 National AFL draft and is the most high profile recruit taken from developing WAFL club Peel Thunder.
18 year-old Ray won All-Australian honours in the 2003 National AFL Under-18 Championships and was also a member of the AIS-AFL academy.
Ray was the highest picked Western Australian in last year's National Draft.
Former West Perth premiership player Kepler Bradley was the sixth overall pick and made his AFL debut for Essendon in round one but has been unable to break back into the senior team since then.
