The youngest member of the WAFL, Peel Thunder FC, has today formally asked the WAFC for assistance due to a $300,000 financial shortfall in its 07/08 budget. The shortfall is reportedly due to Peel not meeting expected income targets. The Peel CEO and Club President have since handed in their resignations. Peel Thunder goal sneak, Hayden Ballantyne, has topped off a 75-goal breakout season to be named the 2008 Sandover Medalist.
