WA’s Cale Morton has received the round 20 rising star nomination after a consistent season with the struggling demons.
Morton shone in Melbourne’s third win of the season with 30 possessions, 17 marks and a goal.
The 18-year-old who is the third of the Morton brothers has played 17 games this season after being picked at number four in last year’s national draft.
His brother Jarryd has already been nominated this season and he is the third young demon to receive the award.
The tall midfield utility was recruited from the Claremont football club
