Melbourne Chairman Paul Gardner announced today he would be stepping down from the position and confirmed his support for Jim Stynes as the new leader.
Thursday night’s board meeting will confirm the takeover as one of Melbourne’s all time greats attempts to get Melbourne off its knees.
Jim Stynes played the highest number of consecutive games and won a Brownlow Medal in his career with Melbourne.
