Former Melbourne defender Chris Johnson might find himself back in the Demon side if they choose to re-draft him in the pre-season draft.
Johnson, who couldn’t hold down a regular spot in the Demon team in 2008, is hoping to sign a two-year deal with Carlton, saying he doesn’t want to play at Melbourne who have only offered him a one-year contract.
Melbourne’s football operations manager Chris Connolly said that even though Johnson walked out on the club he would still be considered as a first pick in the draft.
Connolly said that if Johnson was the best available option in the draft they would pick him.
