Melbourne football club are facing their own finacial crisis at the moment after Cameron Schwab delivered the news that the club lost officially$549,000 but when the figures are all said an done it looks a little worse with assets that have been written off and the fact that the Dees managed to raise about $3million in a fundraising campaign late in the year.
While the Dees are embarking on a Red and Blueprint, the details to be released early next year, the finanical assistance of $2million from the AFL and the MCC last week will see the Dees carry on business for a little longer with club president Jim Stynes stating the club is not reliant on the AFL and MCC.
2009 sees all clubs seeking greater sponsorship and membership but with a world economic crisis in full swing and unemployment on the rise is an AFL team membership or corprorate sponsorship going to be of enough value to hand over the hard earned cash?
Nevertheless all you Demon Supporters out there help you club out in their time of need and get yourself a membership and enjoy the true benefits of being a member of the club. For membership details click here
