Former North Melbourne full-forward Nathan Thompson says he’s just counting his blessings, after suffering an arrhythmia attack last week.
Thompson told Footy Show reporter Craig Hutchison how he suffered the attack and blacked-out in the driveway of his Melbourne home.
The former Roo, who announced his retirement last season, had just returned home from a VFL training session when he attack occurred.
According to doctors, Thompson’s heart increased to 200 beats per minute, as a result of no blood being pumped to the brain, causing the black-out.
The Werribee forward is unable to drive for a month, but is expecting to return the VFL in three weeks.
