Hawthorn premiership midfielder Jordan Lewis has had a lucky escape at the AFL tribunal, after avoiding suspension for punching an opponent in the stomach.
Lewis was found not guilty of striking North Melbourne defender Michael Firrito because the panel ruled the amount of force did not constitute a strike.
The 23-year-old is now free to play Collingwood at the MCG on Saturday night, where the Hawks must win to keep their slim title defence alive.
