Hawthorn are expecting to play Coleman medallist Lance Franklin and Norm Smith medallist Luke Hodge in their final pre-season game against the Eagles this weekend.
The Hawks were easily defeated by the Crows on Saturday due to the fact they only had one premiership player in their team for the game.
Things look to change, as skipper Sam Mitchell, Jarryd Roughhead, Cyril Rioli and Clinton Young will all be in the squad that takes on West Coast at Visy Park on Friday night.
Coach Alistair Clarkson will make sure both Franklin and Hodge pull up well after training this week before they are considered to play.
The star pair have been hit by injuries over the last few months, with Hodge undergoing shoulder surgery to repair cartilage damage in December, while Franklin received post-season shoulder and thumb surgery.
He then injured the same thumb two weeks ago, but is said to have recovered well.
Both players will learn if they are playing later this week.
