Hawthorn will go into its clash with reigning premier Geelong on Easter Monday at the MCG full of confidence, with key players set to return.
Lance Franklin and Chance Bateman will definitely return, while Cyril Rioli is also a likely starter after missing the Hawks’ Round 1 win over Melbourne with a groin injury.
But Shaun Burgoyne, Simon Taylor and Brad Sewell are still missing from the line-up, and that is likely to be the case for a few more weeks.
Geelong and Hawthorn will play for the Beyond Blue Cup.
