LANCE Franklin has been ruled out of the Hawthorn side to take on the Brisbane Lions at Aurora Stadium tomorrow.
Franklin was named in the starting side last night, but there was speculation earlier in the week he would miss the clash after going down with a rolled ankle at training.
The Coleman medallist will be a big loss for the Hawks, who will enter the game as warm favourites after winning seven of their past eight matches.
The Lions, on the other hand, have won just one of their past 11 fixtures.
