The Hawks face the horrible possibility of losing Lance Franklin for its must-win clash with the Bombers this weekend, due to suspension.
Franklin was charged with rough conduct for his head-high bump on Richmond’s Ben Cousins during Saturday’s win over the Tigers.
If he chooses to fight the ban at the tribunal and fails, then he’ll face a two game suspension, his other option would be to accept a one-match ban with an early guilty plea. The worry for the Hawks, is that one game might be all they got left in the 2009 season, should they lose to the Bombers at the MCG on Saturday.
The winner of the big clash will secure eighth spot on the ladder.
