Former Geelong great Peter Riccardi has urged his old side to have faith in young spearhead Tom Hawkins.
The best-and-fairest winner said a longer stint for Hawkins with the Cats would do the youngster some good and will also allow him to flourish up forward.
He also said playing Hawkins alongside fellow tall Tom Lonergan and Cameron Mooney could stretch Collingwood’s defence when they clash at the MCG on Thursday night.
Riccardi said Hawkins is definitely the answer for Geelong’s forward line, with his ability to crash the packs and take on opposition defenders.
