Being likened to Chris Judd and Bob Davis, Geelong youngster Kane Tenace is the AFL Rising Star for round 6.
At 18 years of age, Tenace debuted for the Cats in round 2 this year and is already averaging 12 possessions a game.
Tenace shone in the Cats 43 point win over the Crows on the weekend gaining 15 possessions and out running dual Norm Smith medallist Andrew McLeod.
Picked up by Geelong in the November draft at number seven, Tenace has already played five games in the navy and white stripes and is showing the signs of a becoming quality footballer.
He was drafted from the Shepparton Football Club, and also won the 2003 best and fairest award for the Murray Bushrangers.
Tenace also played for Vic Country in the 2003 AFL under 18 championships and was named an All-Australian.
