REIGNING premier Geelong is likely to regain Gary Ablett and Matthew Scarlett for this Sunday’s bumper clash with ladder-leader Sydney, according to coach Mark Thompson.

The Cats have little to worry about after handing Richmond a flogging in Round 6, but they will need their best team on the park to conquer the in-form Swans.

Scarlett has not played since Round 2 due to a back complaint, while Ablett missed his first match of the season with hamstring tightness.

But Thompson, as reported on afl.com.au, said Max Rooke and Joel Corey are unlikely starters for this week’s match.
