Geelong star forward, Steve Johnson is set to return to the field this week after missing the last four matches with a hip injury which is positive news for the Cats who are also waiting on the availability of ruckman Brad Ottens who injured his knee in Round 2.

Coach Mark Thompson said the club was confident Johnson would be back to full fitness and be able to continue his good form he showed before getting injured.

Geelong are also hoping their skipper, Tom Harley, will be fit to play on the weekend depending on whether he makes it through training unhindered by his knee injury. In the case of Ottens, Thompson said he would have to complete training on Wednesday but was a chance to play for the VFL team on Saturday morning.
