REIGNING premier Geelong could face Essendon with a depleted line-up this weekend.
The Cats defeated West Coast at Subiaco in Round 11 to remain on top of the ladder, but forwards James Podsiadly and Cameron Mooney pulled up sore.
It is understood Podsiadly, who has been the feel-good story of the season, strained his groin in the warm-up.
Already missing from the team is Tom Hawkins with a foot injury, while captain Cameron Ling, Joel Corey, Matthew Scarlett, Brad Ottens and Max Rooke are also on the injury list currently.
In further concerns, Corey Enright may be forced to miss this week, depending on how the match review panel judges his head-high bump on Saturday night.
