By Ryan Miller Geelong announced that 2008 Best and Fairest winner Joel Corey will replace Cameron Mooney as Deputy Vice Captain for season 2009. Mooney, Paul Chapman and Max Rooke all formally step down from the leadership group, making way for Gary Ablett, Jimmy Bartel, Joel Selwood and Corey Enright while Tom Harley and Cameron Ling remain as Captain and Vice Captain.
Joel Corey was Drafted from East Perth in 1999 after playing 11 senior games.
