Geelong are leading Richmond by 31 points at Skilled Stadium at the half time break.
The Cats again missed several chances to extend their lead particularly in the first quarter, with Jimmy Bartel and Max Rooke both missing easy chances to convert for their team.
The Tigers were outplayed in the first term, only managing one goal to the Cats five but improved in the second term, kicking the first two goals of the term and restricting the Geelong to just one goal for much of the term.
The Tigers fought back to within sixteen points of the Cats but would be angry with themselves for letting them kick three late quarter goals to extend their lead back to thirty-one points.
The bad news for Geelong is that ruckman, Brad Ottens, limped off ground at the end of the first term with a suspected knee injury and has been in the change rooms since.
Score at half-time:- Geelong, 8.9 (57) lead Richmond, 4.2 (26).
