Ablett still on the outer

Geelong star Gary Ablett will be on the sidelines again this weekend, according to coach Mark Thompson.
Ablett stated on Sunday that he was hopeful of playing in Saturday’s game against North Melbourne, but Thompson said that was now out of the question, with the club doctors keen to work on Ablett’s fitness for another week.
The Brownlow Medal favorite suffered a groin muscle injury a fortnight ago, with the club saying he would most likely be out for 2-3 weeks, which appears to be an accurate assessment of the injury.
Geelong don’t seem to have missed Ablett greatly so far, most recently cruising to a 51-point win over the Swans at Skilled Stadium last Saturday to remain unbeaten in their 2009 campaign.
