Fremantle coach Mark Harvey says midfielder Des Headland is at the forefront of selection for this Saturday’s clash against North Melbourne at Docklands.
According to Harvey, a successful afternoon training session today may see Headland play his first AFL game this season.
The beleaguered Docker has been suffering from a calf injury which has kept him out of action for the last two months.
However the 28-year-old did return to WAFL side Subiaco on the weekend and snared two goals.
Harvey said Headland is probably not 100 per cent match fit, but said he has trained hard for the last six or seven weeks and is not too far away.
