FREMANTLE has been dealt a major injury blow, with key defender Antoni Grover ruled out of action for up to two months with a strained medial ligament.

The 167-gamer suffered the strain in his side’s last gasp four-point win over North Melbourne at Docklands on Saturday.

Grover’s injury occurred in the third quarter after he tried to out-manoeuvre an opponent, but appeared to twist his leg.

Compacting matters for the Dockers, they will have travel to Melbourne twice in just seven days, as the result of a venue clash with an ACDC concert.

However, fans can expect to see the return of some big names, with Pavlich, Schammer and McPhee all available for their semi-final showdown with St.Kilda at Docklands next Saturday night.

MEANWHILE, young Melbourne defender Cale Morton has also been sidelined for two months with a knee injury.

Morton (20) tore a posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, during a practice game against Essendon at Princes Park on Saturday.

Morton, who was recruited from Claremont, was Melbourne’s No.1 pick in the 2007 national draft and No.4 overall after starring for WA in the national under-18 championships.
