Fremantle hold a 15 point lead over reigning premiers Brisbane at the half time break at Subiaco Oval this afternoon.
The half-time score sees Fremantle 10.8.68 to Brisbane 8.5.53.
A couple of late changes to both sides saw Clive Waterhouse come into the Dockers to replace Aaron Sandilands, while Daniel Pratt replaced Craig McRae in the Lions line-up.
Heading towards quarter time, the Dockers looked like they would hold a 21 point lead over Brisbane. A goal after the siren to Brisbane's Jason Akermanis saw the scored reduced to 14 points.
Paul Medhurst came off the ground during the first quarter under the blood rule but returned to the field at the start of the second quarter.
Both teams went goal for goal for most of the second quarter, with Brisbane the only team to kick consecutive goals, when Jed Adcock and Chris Johnson kicked back-to-back goals early in the second term.
Luke Power kicked a goal late in the second quarter to reduce the lead to 10 points, however a goal to the Dockers through Peter Bell with only 30 seconds to go saw the Dockers finish the quarter 15 points in front.
Paul Medhurst has five goals for the Dockers, while Luke Power has three for the Lions.
Brisbane's injury woes continue with Clark Keating off the ground with a shoulder injury, while Mal Michael spent most of the second quarter on the bench with an injured thigh.
