It appears former North Melbourne coach Dean Laidley is not fit for the Fremantle Football Club.
Fremantle coach Mark Harvey today said he will not be chasing Laidley to join the Dockers’ coaching staff, adding that is satisfied with the current structure of his coaching roster at Fremantle.
Harvey said the club has a “full complement of assistant coaches” and that they were already creating new relationships with the younger players.
Laidley, who was in his seventh year as coach, ended his stint at the Kangaroos this week, but has said he was keen to undertake some coaching capacity in the AFL next season.
His departure surprised the club which revealed Laidley self-imposed a clause in his contract to be reviewed by round 16 for his performance.
