Fremantle overpowered a depleted Brisbane line-up at Subiaco Oval this afternoon, to register their sixth win for the season.

Fremantle ran out 59 point winners, 20.17.137 to Brisbane's 11.12.78.

A couple of late changes to both sides saw Clive Waterhouse come into the side to replace Aaron Sandilands, while Daniel Pratt replaced Craig McRae in the Lions line-up.

The Dockers jumped out of the blocks in the first quarter to head into the quarter time break with a 14 point lead.

Both teams went goal for goal for most of the second quarter, with Brisbane the only team to kick consecutive goals, when Jed Adcock and Chris Johnson kicked back-to-back goals early in the second term.

Luke Power kicked a goal late in the second quarter to reduce the lead to 10 points, however a goal to the Dockers through Peter Bell with only 30 seconds to go saw the Dockers finish the quarter 15 points in front.

Brisbane, who were already missing a number of their key players due to injury and suspension, lost Clark Keating with a shoulder injury, and defender Mal Michael with an injured thigh in the first half.

The second half was all the Dockers, as they added 10 goals to Brisbane's 3.

Midway through the third quarter, Fremantle had opened up a 30 point lead, the biggest for the match so far, and it wasn't until the 30 minute mark of the third term that Brisbane scored their first goal since half time.

Injury problems continued to mount for the Lions, with Michael Voss coming off the ground for treatment, while Justin Leppitsch, who came into the game under an injury cloud, was struggling.

Although Brisbane kicked the first goal in the last term, the Dockers continued to apply constant pressure and ran away with a convincing victory.

Paul Medhurst finished with 9 goals to register his highest total in a match, while Jeff Farmer kicked 3, with Clive Waterhouse and Peter Bell on two each. For the Lions, who were without key forwards Alastair Lynch and Jonathan Brown, their leading goal scorers were Martin Pike and Luke Power with two each.

Paul Hasleby was outstanding for the Dockers, finishing with 31 disposals, while Paul Medhurst, who was under pressure to perform today, was inspirational with 9 goals. Peter Bell finished with 12 kicks and 11 handballs, while Troy Cook finished with 24 disposals.

Jason Akermanis tried hard all day for Brisbane, finishing with 31 disposals, while Luke Power gathered 29 possessions. Brad Scott won his battle with Matthew Pavlich, restricting him to 14 disposals.
