After making an impressive WAFL return last weekend, Peel’s Hayden Ballantyne is now ready to make his AFL debut, according to coach Chris Waterman.

Waterman said the 2008 Sandover medallist is ticking all the right boxes to ensure he receives the nod from Fremantle this week.

The 21-year-old amassed 16 disposals, three marks and kicked five goals against Swan Districts last Saturday, but unfortunately suffered a corked right calf late in the game.

However, Ballantyne took the necessary steps to ensure his injury healed faster by sleeping at the club on Saturday night to receive the best treatment.
