Mark McVeigh is set to make his AFL return for Essendon when they play against North Melbourne this Sunday at Etihad Stadium.
The midfielder who last played for the Bombers in their round two pre-season win, has missed the first three weeks of the 2009 AFL season with an ankle injury.
Adam McPhee will also return for the bombers after serving a one-match suspension.
