Hille to have knee reconstruction <?php echo($club_names[$seg3]); ?> Ball

Essendon’s worst fears were confirmed yesterday when scans showed that ruckman David Hille had ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament and will need a knee reconstruction.

Three minutes into the Bombers Anzac Day win against the Magpies at the MCG, Hille went down with a knee injury when his knee buckled jumping for a mark.

Hille will have the operation soon and will be out for at least the rest of the season.

WA player Patrick Ryder, a regular defender was used as the ruckman for the remainder of the match beating Collingwood duo Josh Fraser and Leigh Brown. Ryder won the Anzac Medal for best on ground in a terrific display.
