Essendon hero Adam Ramanauskas has announced his retirement. He was just a teenager when he won a premiership with the Bombers in 2000, three years later he began a highly publicised battle with cancer.
He made a full comeback to the team in 2007, after having to fight off cancer for the second time as well as undergo a knee reconstruction.
Ramanauskas will play his final game for the Bombers against St Kilda on Sunday.
