East Perth will go into their bye only two points out of the top four (half a game) after a 49-point win over Peel Thunder at Rushton Park on Saturday afternoon. With the Royals winning five out their last six matches, a spot in the top four is looking more promising leading into the final rounds. What stands against them is two byes in the next five rounds and matches against two top four sides Subiaco and West Perth, and against the improving Perth Demons.
The Royals kicked away in the first term against Peel Thunder to set up the win with a 7.2 to 2.2 lead at quarter time. They managed to keep a healthy lead throughout the match and finish convincing winners 19.11 (125) to 11.10 (76).  M.Seal and B.McKinley both kicked 5 goals each to lead the way for East Perth while M.Battye also kicked 5 for Peel Thunder.
