Royals sign Martin Smith on two-year deal

Subiaco premiership player Martin Smith will player for East Perth for at least the next two seasons, the Royals confirmed on Tuesday afternoon.
The 22-year-old midfielder was involved in discussions with the Royals since late last year and comes to the club after playing 38 games for the Lions over a four-year period.
Smith has not yet been officially cleared to play for the Royals, but it is expected a clearance will be struck in the coming days.
The Royals will be thrilled to have secured the services of the speedy Smith after former Kangaroo Djaran Whyman had to knock back an offer to play with the club this year due to personal reasons.
