Merrington added to state squad

East Perth key position player Andrew Merrington has become the third Royals’ player to get called up to the WAFL state squad to take on Queensland in June.

Merrington must have impressed state coach Scott Watters when East Perth went down to Subiaco on Saturday to receive the call up today.

The former Carlton player has kicked 16 goals for East Perth so far this season while also shouldering some rucking duties.
