East Perth has concluded their preseason with a solid 14-point win over East Fremantle at East Fremantle Oval on Saturday.

The Royals trailed for much of the first half, but rallied in the last hour of the match to win 14.11 (95) to 12.9 (81).

Key forward Andrew Merrington kicked six goals for the Royals and will be aiming to push toward his 2007 season tally of 43 goals once again this year, while Fremantle’s Luke Webster (31 possessions) and ex-Peel on-baller Pat Travers (27) were prominent for Glen Bewick’s side.

In other preseason scratch matches Claremont defeated Peel by 31 points and West Perth beat Perth by 34 points.
