The eight young men drafted by the West Coast Eagles (3) and the Fremantle Dockers (5) will be allocated their WAFL based clubs today, an announcement likely at around 3.30PM. The bottom 3 placed clubs from 2008 (East Perth, Claremont and Perth) receive two players each in the reverse draft model, though that may not be the eventuality with the two AFL clubs having the final say on where a player is placed. The clubs placed 6th and 5th (Peel and East Fremantle) should receive on AFL listed player each. Swan Districts have also made a submission to the WAFL in the hope of replenishing the amount of quality youngsters that were removed from their playing list after the Draft last year.
Fremantle rookie Casey Sibosado grew up in Broome, and as such has been allocated to Claremont (Broome being a Claremont zone).
