Magpies forward Anthony Rocca is every bit a chance to play his first game this season against Melbourne at the MCG on Saturday.

Collingwood coach Mick Malthouse hinted at a possible return for the key forward, and suggested Rocca could be a late inclusion, despite not being added to the club’s emergencies.

Malthouse said Rocca would definitely play at some level this weekend, whether it’s in the VFL or the AFL remains to be seen.

Meanwhile Collingwood on-baller Scott Pendlebury is in doubt for the match after complaining of general soreness. Pendlebury failed to train at today’s session, leaving him in doubt for Saturday.
