COLLINGWOOD captain Nick Maxwell is optimistic that his injured calf will not keep him out of the Magpies clash with Sydney in a fortnight.
Maxwell sustained the injury during the first-half of yesterday’s Queen’s Birthday match against Melbourne, and it was initially feared he would be out for a significant period.
But it is possible he will not miss a game, as reported by afl.com.au, with Collingwood due have a week off as part of the split round before taking on the Swans at the SCG.
“Given we have got a week off, it’s probably 50-50 for Sydney,†Maxwell said.
