The AFL Players Association believes that the AFL's plans to televise live tribunal hearings should not be considered.
As reported by Foxtel, the AFL is looking at filming pilots later this season before implementing the live tribunal hearings on a regular basis on pay-TV next season.
AFL spokesman Patrick Keane says the pilots will be discussed with the Players Association before the revenue raising idea is given the green light.
Currently the Players Association is not keen for the scheme as the chief executive Rob Kerr believes players reputations will be damaged.
"There certainly would want to be some changes to the way in which the tribunal is conducted, and they'd like to discuss those before they move in any sense with regards to broadcasting the tribunal," Kerr said.
"From the players point of view, there's been no change with respect to their position that they are against the tribunal being broadcast and we've not received any information that would change that view."
