Collingwood goal-sneak Alan Didak will make his long-awaited return from injury against Port Adelaide on Sunday at the MCG.
Didak hurt his hamstring in round four, and had struggled to recover, but coach Mick Malthouse said he trained strongly yesterday and was ready to play.
Exciting youngster Dale Thomas will also make his return for the Pies after recovering from a knee injury.
However key forwards Paul Medhurst (ankle), Travis Cloke (hamstring) and Anthony Rocca (Achilles) did not train on Thursday, and failed to make the selection.
The Magpies have also recalled Ben Reid on an extended bench.
