Magpie captain Scott Burns hasn’t yet convinced the club’s medical staff that he is fit enough to play in Saturday night’s semi-final clash with the Saints at the MCG.
Burns attended the training session on Wednesday morning, but failed to convince coach Mick Malthouse that he was well enough to take the field against the Saints.
Malthouse said that he’ll talk to Burns on Thursday and then either name him in the side to play, or name him in the side but include another player to cover for him if needed.
