The Magpies have delisted five players from their list for the 2010 season. Chris Bryan, Danny Stanley, Toby Thoolen, Johnny Bennell and Kevin Dyas were the unlucky players to miss out. Collingwood has appointed Nathan Buckley as assistant coach to Mick Malthouse and guaranteed him the head coaches position from 2012. Malthouse will then be appointed to the newly created position of director of coaching. Reports from Melbourne suggest Nathan Buckley has knocked back the coaching job at North Melbourne, and a reported 2.8 million over 4 years, and is set to sign on as an assistant coach at Collingwood, possibly taking over the pies vfl team.

Collingwood goal-sneak Alan Didak will make his long-awaited return from injury against Port Adelaide on Sunday at the MCG.
