McPhee to replace Kerr

Simon McPhee has been appointed caretaker coach of the Claremont Football Club after Roger Kerr was ousted from his two-year coaching contract.

Kerr’s contract was terminated after Claremont Football Club President Ken Venables said the club had not gained the results it had anticipated this season.

McPhee will become Claremont’s 30th Coach in the club’s illustrious 84 year history in the WAFL.

Over the past 14 years, McPhee has coached Wembley Amateurs, Claremont Reserves, Subiaco Colts, as well as Claremont Colts over the last three years.

McPhee’s caretaker role will be reviewed at the end of the 2009 season.
