Carlton coach Denis Pagan yesterday revealed that Lance Whitnall is suffering from a knee injury.
Whitnall struggled against Collingwood on Saturday, finishing with just six possessions, after only nine against Melbourne the week before.
Pagan said Whitnall's problem was a "tendinitis sort of thing", while club doctors later confirmed the problem was to do with the right knee.
