Carlton don’t seem to eager to make the NAB Cup grand final, after opting to rest several stars for tonight’s semi-final against Geelong.

After an impressive win over defending AFL champions Hawthorn last weekend, the Blues have chosen to rest skipper Chris Judd, full-forward Brendan Fevola, Marc Murphy, Kade Simpson, Bryce Gibbs, Ryan Houlihan, Jarrad Waite, Heath Scotland and Andrew Walker.....all very highly regarded and valued members of the team.

Instead Carlton have picked seven players to debut, with just three players having played more then 100 games.

Contrast this baby-faced Blues squad to the richly experienced Geelong team that are due to play tonight, including star midfielder Gary Ablett, Brownlow medallist Jimmy Bartel, Joel Corey and Cameron Ling.

It looks to be an exciting opportunity to see some of Carlton’s young guns, but lets hope they don’t get severely mauled by some very hungry Cats.
