The Western Bulldogs have won just one game in the last month but are still unsure about rushing champion veteran Scott West back into the side.
West is likely to play his second game for the reserves this weekend before he finally makes an AFL comeback.
The 33-year-old had 27 touches in the VFL last weekend in his first competitive game since Round six, as he recovers from knee problems.
Assistant coach Peter Dean said West would need more preparation in the VFL before he came into the Bulldogs side, which means he will miss out on Friday night’s clash with the Bombers.
Dean said it is likely that West will play a game ahead of finals action.
