If the Western Bulldgos bow out of the finals with two losses, Rodney Eade will view the 2008 season as worthless. The Bulldogs face the hard task of beating an experienced final side in the Sydney Swans on Friday night’s semi final showdown.
The Dogs started the season better then they ever have, losing only one of their first fifteen games, but ended the season badly with just two wins from eight games. If they lose against Sydney on Friday, they will become just the third top four team since 2000 to bow out in straight sets.
Eade said that although the Dogs had played some great footy during the year, it would mean little if they were to lose to the Swans.
Eade said he has instructed his players to put their body on the line when the ball is there to be won in tight circumstances, and also wants them to put a load of pressure on the ball-carrier.
