BRISBANE Lions coach Michael Voss has denied star forward Jonathon Brown is carrying a groin injury.
The Lions lost to Adelaide by 12 points at AAMI Stadium on Sunday, with both Brown and full-forward Brendan Fevola spending time in Adelaide before the match to receive special treatment.
Fevola kicked five goals in his side’s loss, but Brown went scoreless and appeared a shadow of the player he was earlier in the season.
As a result, speculation is rife that Brown is not fully fit, as reported by The Age.
“Brown is all right. He has been on a maintenance schedule the last month. It is easy to draw an analogy that Brownie is struggling a bit with his body, but then Fev kicked five and he is in the same situation, if not a little bit behind Brownie,†Voss said.
