Brisbane Lions debutant star recruit, Daniel Rich, is the first NAB Rising Star nominee from the first round.
Rich settled in to the Lions midfield, gathering 21 possessions and four tackles and was influential in his team’s come from behind win over the Eagles at the Gabba on Saturday night.
The Lions managed to secure the services of Rich with their first selection at pick seven in the 2008 AFL Draft.
The Eagles will be feeling a bit nervous after Rich’s impressive first game, after they chose not to opt for the former Subiaco Lions star midfielder during last year’s draft.
